Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of StoreRocket's website, dashboard, embedded widgets, APIs, imports, integrations, and related services.
Last updated: September 14, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
StoreRocket Ltd ("StoreRocket", "we", "us", or "our") provides a hosted store locator platform for businesses. By creating an account, starting a trial, subscribing to a paid plan, installing a StoreRocket widget, using our APIs, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have authority to bind that company.
2. The StoreRocket service
StoreRocket helps customers manage business locations and display those locations through embeddable store locator widgets, search experiences, analytics, lead capture, imports, exports, APIs, and third-party integrations. The exact features available to you depend on your plan, configuration, and any separate written agreement with us.
We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service over time. We try to avoid changes that materially reduce core paid functionality during an active subscription period, but we may make changes where needed for security, reliability, legal compliance, third-party provider changes, or product improvement.
3. Accounts and security
- You must provide accurate account, billing, and contact information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for activity under your account, including activity by team members, API tokens, integrations, or anyone you authorize to access your workspace.
- You must keep passwords, API keys, and account credentials secure. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
- You may not create accounts by automated means or use the Service to bypass plan limits, security controls, rate limits, or usage restrictions.
4. Customer data and permissions
You retain ownership of the location data, business information, images, logos, custom fields, filters, opening hours, lead data, import files, and other content you upload or submit to StoreRocket ("Customer Data"). You grant StoreRocket the rights needed to host, process, copy, transmit, display, analyze, and back up Customer Data solely to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service.
You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and quality of Customer Data. This includes making sure you have the rights and permissions needed to upload, publish, sync, import, export, or display that data through StoreRocket, including on your own website, third-party websites, maps, and integrations.
If you use lead capture, analytics, browser geolocation, or integrations on your locator, you are responsible for giving your own visitors any notices and choices required by applicable law.
5. Embedded widgets and APIs
Subject to these Terms and your active plan, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install StoreRocket embed code, scripts, widgets, and related assets on websites and applications you own or control, solely to display and operate your StoreRocket-powered locator.
- You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, or offer the StoreRocket platform as a competing service.
- You may not remove required attribution unless your plan includes white-label rights.
- You may not abuse public widget endpoints, scrape the Service, overload our infrastructure, or use the Service for unrelated data harvesting.
- API access is subject to rate limits, authentication, feature availability, and fair use controls.
6. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
- StoreRocket offers subscription plans billed monthly or annually. Paid plan features, usage limits, and prices are shown on our pricing page or in an agreed order form.
- Trials are provided so you can evaluate the Service. Unless checkout states otherwise, no credit card is required to start a free trial.
- Payments are processed by Stripe or through Shopify billing. StoreRocket does not store full credit card numbers.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel using the billing controls provided for your subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- Plan changes may affect price, limits, and feature availability. Any proration, tax, invoice, or payment handling is managed through your billing provider and our billing configuration.
- Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the charge in question. Refunds are evaluated case by case and may be declined where the Service was available, used, or not cancelled before renewal.
- You are responsible for taxes, duties, bank fees, and currency conversion costs that apply to your subscription unless the checkout process states otherwise.
7. Third-party services and integrations
StoreRocket may connect with or rely on third-party services such as payment processors, hosting providers, email providers, analytics tools, customer support tools, map providers, geocoding providers, Google Sheets, Shopify, and other integrations. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, privacy notices, limits, and availability.
We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control, including outages, API changes, billing changes, data returned by map/geocoding providers, or actions taken inside accounts you connect to StoreRocket.
8. Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, abusive, infringing, or privacy-invasive activity.
- Do not upload malware, exploit code, unlawful content, or content that violates another person's rights.
- Do not interfere with the security, integrity, or performance of the Service.
- Do not attempt to access another customer's account, project, API tokens, locations, leads, analytics, or private data.
- Do not use the Service to send spam, harvest personal information, or create misleading location listings.
9. Support, beta features, and professional services
Support availability depends on your plan. We may offer beta, preview, onboarding, or other optional services from time to time. Beta and preview features may be incomplete, change without notice, or be removed. Any custom services outside your standard subscription may require a separate agreement or written scope.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or restrict access to the Service if payment fails, your account creates security or reliability risk, you breach these Terms, your usage exceeds plan or fair use limits, or we are required to do so by law. You may stop using StoreRocket at any time and cancel your subscription through the Billing page.
After termination or cancellation, your access to paid features may end and Customer Data may be deleted according to our retention practices, backup cycles, and legal obligations. You should export any Customer Data you need before closing your account.
11. Intellectual property
StoreRocket and its software, dashboard, widgets, APIs, design, documentation, marks, templates, and underlying technology are owned by StoreRocket or its licensors. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you. Feedback, suggestions, or ideas you send us may be used without restriction or compensation.
12. Publicity
You agree that we may identify you as a StoreRocket customer and use your business name and logo in customer lists, on our website (for example on our examples page, including screenshots of your public store locator page) and in sales and marketing materials, in the form you present them publicly. We will not suggest that you endorse StoreRocket beyond being a customer, and we will not publish anything from your account that is not already public on your own website.
You may opt out at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will remove your name, logo and screenshots from our website within 30 days and stop using them in new materials.
13. Privacy and data protection
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information. If your use of the Service requires a data processing agreement, contact us at [email protected].
14. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, and accuracy of third-party data. StoreRocket does not guarantee that map results, geocodes, directions, search results, analytics, SEO performance, or third-party integrations will be complete, accurate, or always available.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoreRocket will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, business, or anticipated savings. StoreRocket's total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid to StoreRocket for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold StoreRocket and its officers, employees, and agents harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from or related to your Customer Data, your use of the Service, the locators and websites you operate, your end users, or your breach of these Terms or violation of any law or third-party right. If we receive such a claim, we will notify you and let you control the defense and settlement, provided that any settlement affecting StoreRocket requires our prior written consent (not to be unreasonably withheld), and we will reasonably cooperate at your expense.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify customers, such as posting the updated Terms on our website or sending an email. Continued use of the Service after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
18. General
- Force majeure: StoreRocket is not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages, infrastructure or third-party provider failures, natural disasters, acts of government, civil unrest, or network or power failures.
- Severability: if any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full force, and the invalid provision will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary.
- Assignment: you may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.
- Entire agreement: these Terms and our Privacy Policy, together with any order form or written agreement we sign with you, are the entire agreement between you and StoreRocket regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements on the same subject.
- Waiver: our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
19. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
