The locator without the plugin baggage
A locator plugin adds PHP, database tables and admin endpoints to your own site — which is why locator and map plugins are a regular source of security advisories, and why one CMS update can take the whole thing down. StoreRocket is a hosted embed instead. There is nothing of ours running on your server to break, to patch, or to be exploited.
And it is not tied to one platform
A plugin only works where that plugin runs. The same StoreRocket snippet works on WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, BigCommerce, Magento and plain HTML, so a rebuild or a second site does not mean starting the locator again. We do publish a free WordPress plugin if you would rather insert it as a block — it is a wrapper around the same hosted embed.
Where the money actually goes
A one-time plugin licence is cheaper up front and we will not pretend otherwise. What a subscription buys is the part that keeps costing: geocoding on our key and our quota, CSV and Excel import at every tier, search analytics, scheduled Google Sheets sync, lead capture and a REST API (depending on the plan), and someone to email when a pin lands in the wrong place.
